Start with one specific task
I want to use Orbit · Clear Collaboration for requirements analysis. I will test it separately before using it for work.
Download and verify → Review files → Confirm client support → Import a copy → Test behavior and permissions → Keep or roll back
Download, review, import, and validate
- Record the version, author, license and SHA-256 on the template page, then download the matching archive.
- Extract it into a separate directory and read README.md, SKILL.md and LICENSE. Do not execute untrusted scripts or enter real client information.
- Check the official client documentation. Use its Skill import method if available. If it only supports custom instructions, adopt applicable text rules without claiming full Skill compatibility.
- Back up the current configuration. Start a new test conversation and confirm that the client actually loaded the template; a website preview does not prove a successful import.
- Repeat a fixed task and check whether facts and assumptions are separated, missing inputs are requested, and completion criteria can be verified.
- Review tool access separately. Remove the template or restore the original configuration and start a new conversation to verify rollback. Include the client, version and a sanitized error in a support request if needed.
Worked example and acceptance checks
The following is an illustrative test case, not a live model result or a compatibility certificate.
Test input: “The project is blocked. Separate known facts, missing inputs and the next action.” Expected structure: Facts → Open questions → Smallest action → Acceptance criteria. This is a designed test case, not a compatibility certificate for any client.
- The archive checksum matches its detail page.
- The client loads the template rather than merely opening the file.
- Removing it restores the previous configuration.
What is available now
This is a general import and validation procedure, not certification for every client. A template does not install software, connect a model or grant file or tool access.
Compatibility depends on the client. These packages have not been certified across all agent products. Check the version, author, and license on the template page before use.
Frequently asked questions
Does pasting SKILL.md into a chat install it?
Not necessarily. It may only become context for that conversation, without persistent loading, tool setup or full Skill support.
What should an import failure report include?
Include the client and version, template version, steps and sanitized error, without API keys.
